SHAKE OFF THE SIGNS OF AGING WITH A NECK LIFT

Eventually, the skin and youthful contours of the face and neck begin to sag due to genetic, environmental, and lifestyle conditions. While these are inevitable to some degree, there are more tools than ever at our disposal that can improve these areas quickly and effectively.

WHAT DOES A NECK LIFT DO?

A neck lift, or lower rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure that visibly improves the classic signs of aging skin along the jawline and neck areas.

A traditional neck lift begins with an incision in the hairline, around the level of the sideburn, continues down and around the ear, and ends in the posterior hair. Fat and underlying tissue are sculpted and repositioned around the jowls and neck, and the skin is then redraped with excess parts trimmed away for additional tightness before sutures and skin adhesives close the incisions.

BENEFITS OF NECKLIFTS

Bringing the skin around the neck and jaws back to a youthful light and glow, the following benefits can be expected from this procedure:

  • A tighter, cleaner look along the neck and jaw
  • Excess fatty deposit removed
  • Appearance of jowls reduced
  • Tightening of neck skin
