Frequently Asked Questions
Am I a good candidate for a facelift?
Good candidates are generally in good health and bothered by sagging skin, jowls, or deep folds along the cheeks and jawline. During your consultation, Dr. Hochman will review your goals and skin condition to recommend a mini, mid, or full facelift.
What's the difference between a mini, mid, and full facelift?
A mini-facelift addresses early sagging and offers a faster recovery. A mid-facelift targets drooping fat between the nose and cheeks. A full facelift provides the most complete rejuvenation by tightening the underlying muscle and redraping skin across the face and neck.
How long is recovery after a facelift?
Most patients need a minimum of two weeks before returning to normal activities. Some swelling and bruising is normal in the first week or two as the area heals.
Will a facelift look natural?
Yes. The goal is a refreshed, natural appearance rather than a tight or ‘done’ look. Incisions are placed in front of and behind the ear along natural creases to minimize visible scarring.
