Our mission is to ensure our patients receive the customized and personal care they seek, combining the latest in medical and cosmetic technology and innovative techniques paired with expert skincare and massage. Having cosmetic surgeries and procedures is a part of our comprehensive approach to turning back time without looking "overdone." However, to achieve the best possible results they should be incorporated into an overall individualized treatment plan with ongoing skincare treatments to address skin tone and texture to preserve the look you want for a longer time.
Each one of our attentive staff members is trained to assist Dr. Hochman in caring for you and pride themselves on personalized service. They will be involved in your care, comfort, and safety from beginning to end, from helping you coordinate your consultation with Dr. Hochman, answering your questions, providing assistance with accommodations if needed, and being by your side before, during, and after any procedure or surgery. In surgery, our Board-Certified anesthesiologist, nurses, and staff will be with you throughout the process. Our staff is excited about being a part of providing the best possible experience for you.

Mark Segal, MD
BOARD CERTIFIED ANESTHESIOLOGIST
I received my Medical License from The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona and did my residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School Boston, Massachusetts. I provide and monitor the anesthesia involved in all of Dr. Hochman’s surgeries which require it.
I am from Boston and originally trained as a cosmetologist, however soon took a job as a receptionist in a hospital and have since been involved in healthcare practice management throughout my career. I was at Boston Regional Medical Center for 13 years, Massachusetts General Hospital for three, then moved to Charleston as Director of Admissions at Roper St. Francis Hospital for eight years. Two years ago I joined The Facial Surgery Center as Practice Manager. My diverse background allows me to happily combine those experiences in finance, aesthetics, safety standards, people skills and other different services into utilization of all talents in one setting. I enjoy assisting Dr. Hochman with the business side of the practice and managing the staff.
Kim Tyler, RN, BSN
I am originally from Pennsylvania and obtained my nursing degree from East Carolina University. I joined the Facial Surgery Center in April 2015 with over 20 years of nursing experience. I have been impressed with Dr. Hochman’s work and was thrilled to become a member of his team. One of my main responsibilities is administering patient care before, during, and after surgery. In addition, I educate patients regarding their surgical procedures to help alleviate any concerns that they may have. My goal is to make the patient’s experience as pleasant as possible.
RECORDS AND BILLING
I am a retired Elementary School teacher, beginning my career in West Virginia and learning new skills through several continuing education courses. After moving to Charleston, I joined The Facial Surgery Center staff in 2007 as an Operator. Through the years my responsibilities have grown to include overseeing medical records, scheduling patients and billing.
I am originally from Charleston. I received my Certification from Virginia College. After completing my education I joined MUSC for two years with a specialty in pediatrics and pediatric hearts. I moved to Columbia for two years. I have four years' experience and have been enjoyed being with Dr. Hochman's team and assisting him in all of his procedures. I am married and have a child. I enjoy outdoor activities, I am an exerciser and a reader. My favorite part of this job is helping people to look how they feel.
I graduated from Winthrop College with BS in Economics and Computers. I worked in PR and Retail Marketing for a large bank, then worked in the SC Governor’s Office creating economic computer models. After my sons were in school, I worked for the Horry County Schools in Technology for 14 years. I began volunteering for Dr. Hochman and The Hemangioma Treatment Foundation in 2004, becoming a part-time employee in 2008 and have been associated with Dr. Hochman and his staff in all of his practices since 2010. I am involved in social media, public relations, and marketing with various computer-related responsibilities.
LICENSED ESTHETICIAN, LASER AND PERMANENT MAKE UP SPECIALIST
I am originally from North Carolina and moved to Charleston in 2011 after having lived in Chicago for several years. I have since enjoyed rooting myself and creating a new home in the Charleston area. Prior to receiving my esthetics training, I spent 12 years in specialized areas of healthcare, sharpening my interpersonal skills and helping the community. In 2014 I decided to turn my passion for skincare into a career and quickly developed a true appreciation for helping others feel their best from the inside out. I was employed at a local Medical Spa before coming to join Dr. Hochman. A a loyal skincare client myself before becoming an esthetician, I am delighted to provide custom skincare, makeup treatments and procedures through the personalization of our clients’ individual needs and desires.
LICENSED THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE THERAPIST
I pursued my career to learn to help relieve people’s pain and understand the human body on a different level. I am passionate about what I do and love the work and the clients. I have 8+ years’ experience in both Medical and Spa Massage Therapies. I have additional training specifically in lymphatic detoxification through lymphatic drainage therapy techniques. My skills add another dimension to The Facial Surgery Center’s Medical and Laser Spa and the post-surgery/procedure healing process. I have been married to Jason, the love of my life, for 13 years and have two fur babies – a dog and a cat.
I was born and raised in Charleston. My current plans are to go back to school for nursing and working at The Facial Surgery Center motivates me to achieve my goals. I love talking with patients throughout their journey and being able to share their exciting moments here. I spend most of extra time outdoors enjoying the sunshine with my dog, Dixie. When I'm not at the beach, I am usually with my friends and family.
